Spiritual Leadership in the Church
(I Peter 3:7)

I. Spiritual leaders assume responsibility for the health of the
relationships in the
Body of Christ. This means, we in leadership set the tone. We must initiate
what we want others to do.

2 Peter 1:5-11 Leadership is built on the foundation of character, not gifts, or
charisma.

Peter’s Credible Leadership: 2 Peter 1:16-18

1. Every leader must remember that people subconsciously ask the question,
“Why Should I listen to you?”

2. Peter reminds his congregations that he was an eyewitness to the power
and life of Jesus.

3. Peter saw Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration, and there he too heard
the voice of God. This gives him and his words, testimony and
lifestyle
more weight.

How about us? Why should people listen to us? What have we seen or heard?
Think about it!
